• June 19, 1999 - Richmond Highway/Memorial Street in Alexandria, Va.
• Jan. 13, 2000 - 7300 block of Fordson Road in Alexandria, Va.
• July 8, 2000 - 1900 block of Beechwood Road in Hyattsville, Md.
• Nov. 20, 2000 - Timber Forest Drive/Edsall Road in Alexandria, Va.
• May 24, 2001 - Plaza Street in Leesburg, Va.
• Aug. 16, 2001 - 4500 block of 23rd Parkway in Temple Hills, Md.
• Dec. 28, 2001 - 3700 block of Rolling Hills Avenue in Alexandria, Va.
• Nov. 28, 2006 - Valley View Drive in Cranston, RI
• Jan. 10, 2007 - Smith Avenue in New Haven, Conn.
• Oct. 31, 2009 - 4300 block of Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge, Va.

Kingston man out on bail accused of 2d child rape - The Boston Globe

How sad. Joseph H. Gardner, 26, of Kingston was let out on a $10,000 bail, while the prosecutors had sought a bail of up to $200,000. He was accused of raping a 6 year old girl on September 15. While on bail he went out an raped a second girl. This girl is 3 years old. I understand that judges are humans and make mistakes, but this was such a huge mistake. I applaud this woman's courage. I have often thought about getting monetary compensation from my abusers. None of my abusers have ever been prosecuted. They owe me something! I don't know what I want. A little justice and money would be nice. Margie you better get your checkbook out. How do you feel about victims suing their abusers?

This is why I am afraid of having children. I would love to have a family and go to church on Sundays. These stories scare the crap out me. How will I be able to allow my children to join church groups? How can I allow them to join the soccer team or the baseball team. It seems like these people are everywhere and have always been there. It seems like it is just now with wide spread media that these people are being exposed. What now? I don't know. I need something to give me faith in family and let me trust again.

It was bound to happen. The relatives of the Missouri men who have been accused of horrific crimes against children and humanity in general say that they do not believe the charges. One man says, that they have have good jobs this entire time. What do jobs have anything to do with sexual abuse? It is natural for humans not to want to believe that their family members committed such horrible acts. It is no wonder that many abuse victims never tell their story. Yes, I understand that a person is innocent until proven guilty, but why must we attack the victims. It is difficult enough to have the courage to tell your story without everyone doubting your story immediately.

These are frightening statistics. It seems that whenever I watch the news, there is a new story about a woman or man being attacked.
